Kia America announced Wednesday that the 2023 Kia EV6 will start at $49,795, including a $1,295 destination charge. That effectively raises the price of entry to the automaker's flagship electric vehicle by $7,100 over the 2022 model. Previously, the Light base trim started at $42,695 including destination, though that model has now been discontinued and replaced by the Wind RWD trim. 2023 Kia EV6 price starts at $49,795 – $7K more than 2022’s base price In addition to the Eco, Normal, Sport, and Snow drive modes you’ll find throughout the EV6 lineup, the GT adds a GT Drive Mode that optimizes the behavior of the motors, brakes, steering, suspension, electronic limited-slip differential, and stability systems to maximize performance. There’s also a My Drive Mode setting for the driver to pick and choose, and a Drift Mode that brings more power to the rear wheels. Kia has also added two additional sounds to the menu, although here it’s for those inside the cabin, not outside.

Range peaks at 310 miles for the base Wind RWD (starting at $48,500 without $1,295 in destination fees) but many buyers will want all-wheel drive and more performance, cutting range to 282 miles on the Wind AWD trim ($52,400). It’s the same pattern for the mid-grade GT-Line RWD ($52,700) with a high 310-mile range that plummets to 252 miles on the $57,400 AWD version. The new performance-oriented GT ($61,400) actually has the shortest EPA-rated range, at a scrawny 206 miles.
